Simple Pleasures
In a world of social atomisation, hyper stimulation, hyper consumerism, tablets, smartphones, internet, and ‘lost childhood’, the series of photographs highlights the pleasure children can get from simply being out in nature with friends, playing, getting messy and muddy, foraging wood, watching fire, gazing at the stars, having ice cream, reading a book, or playing with a grandparent. The photos are part of an ongoing project about child play, especially in urban settings.
